Its interesting just how much difference 1% can make. I have to admit that auto-surf is proving to be a most excellent service. While many people may find that 1% is far to slow an earner, I tend to look at it more along the lines of it being much more likely to stick around for the long term.
Its now been a month since I started getting involved in these kinds of programs. Its cost me significantly in that I'm pretty sure Google booted me from AdSense because NoMoreClicking was sending traffic to this blog, which had an AdSense ad block on it at the time. That really did bother me and I now don't send any traffic to any of my own sites. One of the first things I learned about this system is that you need to spread the traffic around multiple sites as much as possible. The trick is to spread the traffic around other affiliate programs and generate credits. If you put it together properly, you could almost generate a self-perpetuating system. :-)
More in the full post.
I rarely use TS25 anymore. Not because I don't like the service they offer, but more because I just don't have the time to sit there doing nothing but click on numbers. Even the fastest person would average just over 3 clicks a minute. Given that it takes 5 credits to get one visit to a site, thats a lot of time spent on generating traffic. Just not worth the long term effort needed. Sure, people say do it for an hour a day and it'll work out, but thats an hour a day I really just can't afford to spend on it.
Consider that the auto-surf program I use takes less than 13 minutes to generate 1% and 100 site visits. More still, I don't have to baby sit it beyond watching for 'bad' sites. Sorry, just not my cup of tea.
So what else has happened in this past month of using these programs?
Well, I'm now advertising skchosting.com via Google AdWords program. It is unfortunate just how competitive (and thus expensive) that whole system has become, but theres not much I can do about that. I just have to make do with what I have available to me. However, if at the end of January it hasn't generated at least 5 new clients, I'm going to switch and try the Yahoo! Search Marketing (formerly Overture) program. Rumor on the grapevine is that the prices there are still actually affordable and not inflated as they have become on AdWords.
I've also started using a new ad service specifically targetted at bloggers. Its not too bad either. I like it so far. I have a few little gripes and niggles about the platform and how they try to make you use it, but over all I like it. Its no more intrusive than AdSense ads are. Unlike AdSense ads though, the ads are images and will even display in RSS readers (as some of you have probably already discovered).
I am also signed up with ClickBank now. That will start getting thrown on this website very soon. Sorry, but hey, who cares right? ;-) Most people that are reading this blog are experienced in ad dodging anyway. And if they're not, will be soon enough. :-)
Thats it for now. I'm going to start writing articles about using some of these affiliate programs very shortly. Also start providing more information on how to get yourself setup to use them. We'll see how things start to pay off soon enough. :-)
